If you are using Windows, the above information is sufficient to insert the superscript 1 (¹) in a Microsoft Word document.

However, if you are not satisfied with this quick help, read below where I explain in detail how to get the superscript 1 symbol or any other symbol anywhere on your Mac or Windows PC, such as in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

As you may already know, there are several keyboard double-keys that are compatible with both Windows and Mac. That is, there are characters on the keyboard that are easily accessible as secondary keys. By simply pressing two or more keys at once, you can easily insert these characters into your work. If you z. B. Press Shift + 6, the insertion mark (^) appears.

However, the other characters are not printed as a second key on the keyboard. It makes it harder to hit. One of these symbols is (¹).

Typing becomes very difficult for you if you regularly have to insert some of these characters into your work.

But it doesn’t have to be difficult. Especially as you read this step-by-step guide.

Inserting 1-digit SuperCue text in Word

In the following paragraphs, I’ll show you how to easily type or paste this symbol (#) anywhere on your Windows or Mac PC (for example, in Word or Excel or PowerPoint).

For a quick orientation: Press 0 , Alt+X on the keyboard to type the character 1 as an exponent in Microsoft Word. This shortcut only works in Word. You can also press Alt + 0185, which works anywhere in Windows.

However, the methods are explained in detail below without going into further detail.

Method 1: Super Scenario 1 Symbol labels (in letters)

There are several keyboard shortcuts in Windows, some of which only work in Microsoft Word. Super Scenario 1 is one of them.

Superscript 1 character shortcut for Microsoft Word – 0 , Alt+X.

This shortcut only works in Microsoft Word and only under Windows.

Follow the instructions below to use this shortcut:

  • Place the cursor at the desired location.
  • Type 0 on the keyboard, then press Alt + X. This converts the code (0 ) into a superscript 1 where you placed the insertion point.

In the next section, I’ll show you how to use the Alt Text Supercharacter 1 code to enter a character on the keyboard.

Method 2: Super Scenario 1 Alt Code (Windows)

Super Scenario 1 (No.) Symbol Alt Code 0185 only in Microsoft Windows

Each symbol in Word has a unique code that you can use to insert the symbol into your document. This code is also called the alt code.

Below are the steps for entering this character on the keyboard (using the Alt code shown above):

  • Press the numeric keypad lock key to activate the numeric keypad. Use Fn + NumLk to enable the numeric lock on laptops without a numeric keypad.
  • Hold down the Alt key and enter 0185 using the numeric keypad.
  • After entering the Alt code (e.g. 0185), release the [Alt] key.

As soon as you release the Alt key, the Text 1 icon (¹) should appear in your document.

Method 3: Copy and paste text with superscript 1 character

My preferred method for pasting characters I can’t type is copy and paste.

With this method, all you have to do is type the character you want to type into Google and copy it from one of the search results. Once you have pasted a symbol into a document, you can copy and paste it again whenever you need to.

Use the button below to copy and paste the superscript 1 text for your work.

Method 4: Using the dialog box for inserting characters

This approach is not as simple as the quick methods. But it’s very simple.

And once you’ve inserted a symbol into a document, you can copy and paste it whenever you need it in your work.

The following section describes the steps for inserting 1 character in Word using the Insert Symbols dialog box.

  • On the Insert tab, click on the Symbols button and select More Symbols ……

With these few clicks the dialog box with symbols appears.

  • On the Symbols tab, in the Font drop-down list, type and select Unedited Text. Then enter 0 in the Character Code field. When you enter this code, the selected exponent appears.
  • Press to select a character, and then press the Insert key.
  • It is also possible to double click on a symbol to insert it into the document.
  • Click on the Close button.

In this way, you can use the Insert Character dialog box to insert text with a superscript 1 character in Word.

Completion

As you can see, there are several ways to insert or type text with superscript 1 characters in Word/Excel.

My preferred method is copy and paste, followed by a link in Word. The alt-code method is also simple.
